- Dv Switch Descriptions
- -----------------------
-
-
- E: ( Registered version only. )
-
- The ( /E ) switch is used by DV to allocate expanded memory
- from the expanded memory manager. A maximum of 64K can be
- allocated. DV uses this memory for overlay swapping. If you
- are using a floppy based system using expanded memory for
- swapping can speed up some operations. It also frees up
- conventional memory.
-
-
- X: ( Registered version only. )
-
- The ( /X ) switch is used by DV to allocate extended memory
- from the upper memory area. A maximum of 64K can be
- allocated. DV uses this memory for overlay swapping. If you
- are using a floppy based system using extended memory for
- swapping can speed up some operations. Using extended memory
- is a better choice than expanded memory.
